I ended up buying the one with 90k miles. It's a 2013 with the 5.4 triton. Truck shifts amazing, has the tow package, black leather, and the sun roof for her taste. She already likes it, so hopefully I get years of good luck with it. Truck came with a third party warranty for three years unlimited miles. Only thing that doesn't work is the power running boards, but at least they are down.

Trust me. Never ever get the Triton 5.4-3 valve engine. EVER! This motor has turned me against Ford forever and I've had Fords since my first car in 1978, a 71 Pinto.

I've always kept these trucks well over 200,000 miles. I usually buy them with 60 - 90,000. I find that over 150,000 around here you start to get the problems. Rusted brake lines, frame rust, broken manifold bolts, heater cores, exhaust perhaps. No deal-killers but maintenance that's less than fun at my age. Both my Ford trucks lost head gaskets at 250,000 miles. If you are lucky these are robust trucks. As I get older I'll probably let them go at 150,000 or so and maybe even consider a powertrain warranty.

Thank you for your insight guys. We got a three year unlimited miles warranty with it that covers the power train and head gaskets. I can do the work on our vehicles, but that can be a toxic mentality however. I find myself often looking at fixer uppers and need to stop doing that. We decided to just spend the extra to get a nice low milage vehicle.

Too soon, we have one issue I would like to address. I get a check air suspension now and then. Where should a guy start?

Seeing that you're in MN, I get that message too sometimes on our Jeep GC with air suspension when it's well below 0F. I wouldn't worry about it until it happens in normal weather. My Expedition doesn't have air ride.
