Tread Pictures (22")

These are my Toyo AT3 on my F150. They have about 30-35k miles on them. They have been great for pavement driving, little off road conditions and winter driving. Like any big tread, they have a little drawback from a quality HT tire on regular pavement.

Overall, fairly quiet, look good, and performance I have been very happy with.

$70 insurance until next year. I like these traction boards because they double as an extra shovel. OpenRoad brand.

I've been running Yoko Geolander G015's on my Commander for almost 10 years. Great on-road behavior and I haven't been able to get stuck when I have ventured out a little. Ice/snow performance is behind dedicated winter tires, but it still does the job quite well. Also, I literally cannot make them hydroplane despite trying. The only reason I'll probably change to more aggressive tires next year is the Commander is no longer the family's primary vehicle.

Finally pulled the trigger on the Geolanders. I'm really surprised there aren't more customer reviews online for the BFG Trail Terrain. Chose the Geo's because I remember them working very well on our Honda Pilot and the Tire Rack official review claimed it was a reviewer fav - outperformed the Trail Terrain in all categories except stopping on ice. Lastly, it was cheaper.

PS, I can't recommend Discount Tire in the Northgate/Seattle, WA area.
Had to wait over 15 mins to checkin - despite having an appt. They lost my chromie valve caps. They left me air pressure at 40,40,40 and 50. WTF?

I'm getting the BFG Trail Terrains installed when they come in next week or the week after that (supposed to be delivered Nov 14 but we will see). Agree there aren't many reviews there and wish there were more. I guess it's a relatively new tire filling in a market gap which may explain the lack of customer reviews. The way I see it, most people would have chosen the KO2 or Toyo AT3, etc. but they are a bit too much for my type of driving. I'll add one to the customer review once installed.

I ended up going with BFG TRAIL-TERRAIN T/A for ours to replace the horrific Dynapro's. They were one of the few decent tires at the stock 22 size. So far after a trip from Michigan to Florida they have been great.

I would be very curious to hear people's thoughts on ride and noise after swapping to All Terrain tires. I went to Goodyear Duratracs (though I think also LT) on my Gen 3 Navigator years back, and then more recently General Grabber ATX's (stayed p-metric based on Duratrac experience) on my 2017 Expy.

Though I was quite pleased with looks (hard to believe how many comments I got) as well as traction - even made a big improvement on wet grass with a trailer - I was quite disappointed in the truck-like ride, and had issues with both of them flat spotting (I assume) and would get this out-of-round ride sensation quite frequently, especially at slow speeds and when cold. Two different vehicles, two different brands of tires, very similar ride experiences.

I had thought I had a bent wheel or axle or something in the Nav, but then having a near-identical sensation after going AT's in the 2017 I figured it had to be something in the tire formulation. I'm going to WANT something more aggressive on my 22, but have zero interest into heading down the lumber-wagon-ride path again. I also drive less than 10K/ yr, so have to live with a wrong decision for quite awhile...

Hoping people chime in.

I think I mentioned before I ran the Geolander ATs for many years on a Honda pilot and had no issues with ride or noise. I've only taken this set home from the tire shop so haven't put highway miles on yet, but the ride around town is the same as with the factory Hankooks. The tire rack video review actually compared the BFG Trail terrain against the Geolander and gave me the impression the BFG could be noisier - more truck like.

Got up to the mountains for the first time this season. New Geolanders are solid footing!
