One of the buttons for seat cooling got something sticky on it. Over time that has hardened so I can't press the button.

I partially removed the HVAC control panel and as I was doing that I (unintentionally) flexed it which was enough that it made a pop sound and worked again, but now it has gone back to not working again.

It looks like the HVAC panel is one complete unit with a single connector at the back. Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get behind the button to clean it?

I did try compressed air when it was still just sticky but that didn't help.

Thanks!

I've used a wet sponge to soak the edges of the gummed up heater switches. Water dissolves sugar quickly. I know, it's water and it's electric, but it worked on the goo and caused no problems.

If you don't want to try that you can probably remove the switch and take it apart to clean. Just beware that springs tend to pop out of these when you disassemble them and watch how they are installed.
