Has anyone considered canceling their 2022 order? I know I've seen people that put orders through in November that haven't gotten there vehicle yet. I ordered ours in March of 2022 and thinking we won't even see it until next year. So do I cancel and try something else? Maybe a GMC Denali? I'm really torn right now. If anyone's canceled their vehicle and switched what did you go with instead?

I've thought about cancelling. I ordered before Thanksgiving, went in to build early March, and just got notified that I'm on chip hold for another few weeks at minimum. We ordered one because we've got a third on the way & a large dog - so in June our smaller SUV's are going to be incredibly tight.

After driving a 2021 Expedition Max & a 2020 GMC Yukon XL, I prefer how the Expedition drives/rides, and now with the newer models I certainly like the aesthetic of the Expedition more so. For what I'd be spending, I would struggle to cancel and spend that much money on the GMC that I'm not overly thrilled about.

I ordered our max on 10.28 and still not in production yet. I got all the emails starting in Feb with the production dates and have been pushed back 6 times now. I told my dealer when/if it comes in I’ll come in and take a look but at the rate they are removing options to move more cars I don’t think I’m going to take it. I just can’t justify the cost to not get the features. He told me he will keep the order and if I decide not to take it he’ll sell it to someone else. So I think even if I cancelled, he would keep it and probably have no problem selling it. If other info I’ve heard is correct I’ll order a 23 in June and continue waiting. Hoping that the chip shortages and parts issues might work themselves out. I also think there is the possibility that anyone who ordered after Feb this year will automatically get posted to a 23. But I think we are all just sitting, waiting Anna guessing at this point.

I’ve had two Denali XLs on order at two different dealers since 09/2021 and 11/2021 respectively and neither have even been accepted by GM for production.

Coupled with the 2022-2023 switchover coming you’d be lucky to get it before year end.

cancelling just puts you in the back of some other line im afraid.. and with the covid shutdowns in china and the war.. you are at least "in line"

Gm and ford are in the same position with the fs suvs, so if you can't find a denali on the lot, you'll be up ***** creek. If you want an expy, best to find one on a lot and try to talk the dealer down from their mark up, you'd have to do the same for a gm anyway.

I'll be cancelling tonight, even though I just ordered in March. I stumbled across one a couple of miles from my house with a little more equipment and jumped on it after talking to my dealer on Monday and finding out I'd most likely be pushed to a 23MY and not have it for possibly 9+ months. Lost my X-plan, but came in below MSRP, so totally worth it given we'd sold my 2013 in March and was using my wife's F150.
