I have a 2016 EL Limited 4x4 that I would like to get ready for some desert trips. I have been reviewing the forums, and there is a a lot of great information and some awesome photos. Is there a generally accepted spacer lift kit and tire size that (1) works with stock suspension, (2) won’t rub and (3) will allow me to maintain a spare underneath the vehicle? I have seen several postings that recommend the ReadyLift 3/2 kit with 33” x 11.5” tires, but wondered if there is something else that I should be considering. I live overseas and have to bring the parts back with me, so it is important to get it right the first time.

Thanks,
Rob

ReadyLift 69-2070 3"F / 2"R Lift... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002HXZ02Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I put this on. I have 295/70/R18 (34.29” according to website) ridge grapplers on stock rims. No rub until I added the front husky mud flaps, now it will rub very slightly when backing up an incline (my driveway) with wheels turned.

You could also consider bilstein 5100 ride adjustable shock absorbers, however, on the expedition, they will only get you 1” up front, and 1.5” on the rears.
