That's because they are still producing vehicles on the line, and producing those completely and shipping them out. They are just leaving the ones in the offsite lots so they can keep saying they are shortages. Why would you keep producing more, if you have ones sitting offsite for months at a time. Makes absolutely no sense, but then again, what does in this country these days.Not to suggest that you can believe what is published in the news..., this quote just released does give some indication of the magnitude of Ford's problem with half build vehicles. "As was the case throughout the auto industry, Ford's supply chain problems, such as a shortage of computer chips, limited the number of vehicles it could make and sell. In fact it had 53,000 vehicles at the end of the quarter that were mostly completed but await installation of components affected by the semiconductor supshortage”
