I've been doing that too with a couple hundred miles. I need a 4x4, a bench seat, and HD Tow, so it's a little tedious to go into each one and pull up the window sticker. I've found a few that would work, but then they have been sold by the time I call. With the price increases though, I'm probably better waiting until my order actually comes in. I'm still hoping it gets off chip hold. Today marks 6 weeks since it's been on hold.
Weird, the ram/dodge/jeep dealer by me has 3 Wagoneers and 2 Grand Wagoneers and then about 15 Rams (non of the rams are fully loaded).

I had a similar experience with a Ram dealer in Ohio, they had 2 laramie night editions I was talking to them about that were $5k more than MSRP so I called and asked what that was about, she told me it was dealer markup for a vehicle in high demand... I said oh okay I'll take my business elsewhere if that's the case..... this woman however decided to reply to me with "Okay I'm not worried about it, someone else will buy these trucks"!

There is a good chance I am going to order a 2023 expedition stealth..... no matter how bad I want to walk away from this vehicle with how my issues have been handle, I simply can't go back to a lame ass V8. I would be all over the Ram Laramie/Limited if they offered the new I6 twin turbo that will be in the GW for 2023.

From Blue Oval Forums. Not sure exactly what "Cleanup Scheduling" means, other than redoing all the existing scheduling done weeks ago

I'm hoping it means squeezing in some of us unscheduled folks. I suck at waiting for things.

One thing my dad taught me about life, there's a sucker in every situation. They'll find someone in a bind or who doesn't know any better that will pay the markup.

@xraymd AWESOME! What are you going to do with all the time you have now that its on the way??!!! No more REFRESH, REFRESH!

Now it might be worse. I‘m going to start driving by the lot each day to see if it’s arrived. Easier to click “refresh”. :rotflmao:

Out of curiosity, has anyone that knows they were on chip hold received their ride? Is there light at the end of the tunnel?

Hows your relationship with your dealer? If it's good they should be able to provide you with the rail car number, if being shipped by rail, and you can track it's trek to your nearest rail yard. Have to call the CSX tracking number. Don't talk to a representative, the voice recognition sucks and the train will spend a lot of the stopped in the middle of no where but it's nice to see it making progress.

I’m going to try it out. I’ve read about rail tracking. My dealer is really nice but all this tracking stuff seems new to him.

Yeah one thing I learned last year after my superduty fiasco was that retail knows more about getting info about their order than dealers do. Probably because it's more important to them than it is the dealer.
