Additional Brake Lights?

I am living overseas with a new 2020 XLT and I'm concerned about getting other drivers' attention when I'm stopped in traffic. Due to the rampant use of cell phones here, it's not uncommon to get plowed into at speed. Therefore I'd like to install additional brake lights and I don't think a trailer hitch brake light is going to cut it.

I was looking at my truck and was wondering if anyone had managed to install additional lights or anything on the wings above the taillights or under the rear window visor.

I'm sure if I could figure out a mounting place for even striplights I could appropriate the correct circuits from the trailer harness in order to not have to worry about messing up the truck's electrical system.

Whatever you do would be easier to tap into the trailer brake wiring. I think you could end up with the computer having issues if extra load is on the regular brake circuits.

They make a chip that will make the upper center brake light flash when it comes on, that should help also.

A lot of pickup trucks around here have LED strip lights across the entire rear under the tailgate and above the bumper. Half flashes on turn signal too.....

Amazon has flashing brake light bulbs for motorcycles. I saw ( 1157, 3157,) Maybe other sizes !!! they also have strobe type led bulbs.

That's what I'd look into--something that will make the high-mounted brake light flash several times when you first apply the brakes then go solid. Those I've seen are very attention grabbing.

here is a seller of 3157 flashing brak light bulbs./allalighting.com/products/3157-3057-led-strobe-brake-lights-flashing-stop-bulbs-3156-4057 Maybe other sellers also, 3157 by way of Rock auto is the size for your unit. rockdoesnot carry them , I only checked for the corect size
