So it looks like you are correct mr_dave. I have axle code 15

I really worked hard to get the 373 axel when I made the purchase. I am upset I missed this.
Do you know if I can purchase the OEM brake controller feature?

I am more concerned with towing safety. I have a real mind that I might trade the truck in. With an esp warranty I should be able to get a premium.

Please tell me that you do have some type of aftermarket brake controller. It is needed to make the electric trailer brakes function. Your RV Travel Trailer has to have them, hence the 7 pin connector.

I don’t. That is why that is my first concern now that I know I don’t have what I thought I had. I even asked my local dealer when I purchased the truck and took it to do a full point inspection.

I believe all Expeditions come with the Class IV towing package which is 7 pin and hitch. The heavy duty tow package would be listed under the options on the lower left of the window sticker. It appears you don't have it. An easy way to tell if you have the heavy duty towing package is if you have the Pro Trailer Backup assist knob and brake controller on your dash. If they are there you do, if they aren't there you don't. I'm not sure how you can have the 3.73 without it from the factory. I think the Max has that but you don't have a Max from that sticker. Perhaps someone else on here can speak to that.
The FX4 package had 3.73 without the trailer brake controller for some years. I'm not going through every year to see which ones precisely. But here's an example:

Oh my. Did the RV dealer let you drive off the lot like that? You do have a proper weight distribution hitch, right? Do not tow that camper without the trailer brakes working. Like others have said, look into having the factory brake controller installed.

I'd assume you possibly warped the brake rotors on the expedition if you braked it much in the heat. You'll know if the car shakes when you hit the brakes lightly.
