I'm undecided on the lift...
My wife is super short and honestly I like the tucked big tire look. It exaggerates them a bit and doesn't effect driving character... Maybe one day when I actually have a chance to get it off road and I realize how low it is... Plus it will be spending a fair amount of time towing so that will have to be taken into account.

Where's the beef??

Rubbing is minimal and I think a couple more zip ties is all I need up front. I'm also thinking of only putting spacers in the back because of that, is that a bad idea? The back seem more pulled in than the front. Slightly... I guess ill order 4 and see how it looks before making the decision.

Can you explain the zip ties and maybe some pics of what you mean?

I’m getting my lift and new tires on Monday and I want to be ready to fix any possible rubbing. It’s been too rainy here to poke around under the wheel wells to see what is going on there now.

Thanks!

I am excited for you. It will look so much better.

I’ve been slightly vague with my wife since she doesn’t really like the lifted truck look.

However, I feel the ReadyLift plus bigger tires will not make it “look” like a lifted truck, I.e., obnoxious show trucks which I am not a fan of either.

I like them to look utilitarian, not street princesses. ;)

2021 will probably bring a roof rack and lights. I will budget around $4000 of everything (which I am sure is way overkill, but I’d rather budget high and not be nickel and dime to death later. I will be looking for a rack that uses a grid pattern (think is a diamond pattern like a chain link fence) versus rails. That way I can position my tie-downs anywhere I want them. I also read there may be less noise on those styles since wind can flow more freely.

Need to get step one done first... lift, wheels, and tires on. :)

I should have pics tomorrow. I got it back too late today to get daylight pics.

After some quick testing (by sound only), I have zero rubbing anywhere and they said they did not trimming or mods to the inner wheel well linings.

It really looks different. Awesomely different. I’ll start its own thread with before and after photos.

well.. actually....

We bought this used Platinum expedition/ hd tow/ 4x4 with 315/70/17 wheels on it.

Only one front wheel is rubbing so I have take care of that. It is missing the running boards and the previous owner made some mods of which I have clue what they exactly are as the dealer wasn't helpful at all. I know I have a raptor engine cover and a J&R air filter. But no idea what else they did (beside the obvious lift). Just bought some power running boards from a salvage yard and am now looking for skid plates as we would like to take it offroad. Especially the fuel tank looks very fragile without cover.
