I used some shock stem bushings to space that part down a little to clear the steering unit but it is making contact. Going to look for something that is not or less compressible.

For the transfer case plate, looks like this bent version won’t work.

Looking good! Has to feel good having that project finished. Any noteworthy comments on the install and can you confirm the RCI package you ordered for any future orders?

I will add more details with pics completely done. There is still the T-case piece.

As of now, it is looking like the newest F150 kit would be the way to go mainly to have the piece that clears the steering rack.

Will RCI just build some for the Expedition already so we can stop with the driveway fab to make things fit.....
I asked about that last year, including a group buy, and they were just too busy. Plus, don't think the numbers are there for Expeditions as opposed to the Ford truck line. Guess you could always ask again....

Tim at RCI told me that they don’t have any Expeditions in their fleet R&D on.

thanks for your info.

did you also bought the skid plate for the fuel tank or ain't that necessary because the full package already covers it? (as it isn't included in the f150 package I noticed)

Guys, I posted nearly two years ago about my experience with RCI. It's rock solid still to this day. Did I have to drill a couple holes, yes, but based on one of the diagrams they showed me on the F150's, even they have subtle changes between production runs, i.e. a quick nut hold missing, a bolt in a slightly different place, etc. If you want a very robust plate package that may require a few extra speed nuts and holes, this is your kit. It was very easy to install and still to this day works great.

the guys at RCI were very helpful but to one of your points, they don't have a test vehicle. For most people, this is a pretty easy install if you have a few tools and some drill bits. Now technically, if I didn't install the tcase plate, I wouldn't have had to drill any holes. I elected to for the front brackets just to add a little more rigidity and to make install a little stronger.
