Have 27,000 miles on my 22" Hancooks and I have no confidence in driving in the rain with them and think I'm going to bite the bullet and get new tires.

How many miles did you get on your Hankooks before you replaced?

Been thinking about this too - anyone have the Bridgestone Trail Terrains (in addition to OP message about how many miles)?

I think that was about what I had, perhaps a bit more. Today I am getting a set of Michelin Premier LTX put on. This will be my third set of "summers" and I am on my second set of dedicated winters. My second set of summers was Yokohama Parada Spec X. They were just OK. Tread life was not that good.

I ditched those garbage tires at about 25k or 26k

Worst tires I have ever had on a car in the rain... had to put in 4wd to feel safe on slick surfaces.

I had mine siped when they were nearly new, and that helped a lot. They would grip on wet, and ice after the siping. Before siping them, they were complete garbage.
I was just glad that I could at least wear them down and not have to feel bad throwing away newish tires.

Hancooks are junk. Had them on my 16 Explorer… they didn’t even come with a warranty. Call FoMoCo out on that, see if you can get some credit for replacement. I did

I'm at 32,000 and they're pretty much shot. I'd say around 25,000 i really started to notice my ride quality decrease and the wet traction is mediocre at best. I could probably push them to 40,000 but they'd be bald. With the Texas heat coming and the wear/tear that puts on tires, I'm putting a set of Michelin defenders on them next week as well. Not the cheapest, but I have yet to find someone who doesn't like those tires. Tried and true...

I have at least 45,000 on my hankook dynapro HT's and can't really complain. They still have a decent amount of life left, and I've never felt that they lack wet traction or control.

That said, I'm pretty sure I'll go with Michelins when it's time for tires....
