Just got my email from Ford saying mine was finally been “built”. Been stuck in “chip hold” waiting on a wiper motor since 3/24. I hope everyone else has got or gets theirs too.
I have been sitting since 3/30. Maybe things are getting closer.

Finally! I saw someone on Facebook got their email as well. Nothing for me yet.

Mine has been on chip hold since 3/19. Originally had a date of 5/13 for delivery, then 5/21, now June 7th. Don’t imagine I’ll see it any time soon.

That’s interesting. If it’s in transit, the check mark on the ford pizza tracker won’t be added until shipping is completed, and the vehicle is delivered at the dealership.
Got the email from Ford saying vehicle was built on Saturday and got another email today Monday saying it has been shipped. It is truck I assume since only going to Virginia and sticker says convoy. After reading posts on here not sure what to believe nor when to expect it. The email after both build and shipped both said June 11 so I guess they are allowing lots of built in extra time to truck it 300 miles? Either way glad it is finally getting closer. Ordered 2/18. I am in exactly the same boat. No one will tell me anything about which chips, how many are missing for my Expedition, and what the expected delivery date will be for the chips. I do appreciate that it will be another 3 or 4 weeks until the car shows up at my dealer. But come on, I ordered it back in November!

I have contacted marketing at the 800 334-4375 number and get people working from home with dogs barking in the background and/or kids crying. The response is the same with ZERO input on when the car will be taken off of chip hold.

They have told me to have my dealer contact the dealer Ford rep. I have tried that and my dealer tells me that the dealer rep has no other information.

This was to be my 5th expedition since 1999. Very frustrated with Ford. I do appreciate that there is a shortage, but they should have someone who is following up with customers who have FIRM orders.

I'm with you.. 1/28 confirmed order. 3/18 email. Took the extended pre-production to add Rear Seat Entertainment. My dealer and other resources show there's no longer a commodity restraint there. Next stop, the 6/15 2023 Model Year order bank... Hopefully we both get production dates prior. Sitting tight and enjoying the process!

Unfortunately Ford has the leverage now.

Going to dealers pretty much is literally about 10K more expensive than what I have ordered, just by looking Cars.com .

Unfortunately for our orders they are not giving basic responses, which is a huge issue and will be certainly remembered when we come back to shop for a car.

Having the leverage today does not mean they will have leverage forever, and they are risking to lose the loyal customer base who buys the most expensive and profitable product in their line up.

In my situation the best in the moment is keep the orders as they are and put a pressure in the dealers to try to compensate some of the mess in the value of the trade in.
