Just went out and checked the computer -- not as bad as I thought. :)

16.4 mpg over the last 9300 miles and 281 hours. That's probably 18 months of driving since the truck just rolled over 30,000 miles and is almost 5 years old.

Some 5th grade math shows an average speed for that same period to be a mere 33 mph but I don't recall ever driving that slow.

14.5 average is pretty good for a 5.4. Without actively trying to get the best possible. If you're going to buy a truck to save money via gas mileage you're going to lose big time. If you need a new one for whatever reason that's another story. We have a family member with a 2016 and she averages in the 16s but there is a lot of idle time w her living in FL...uses remote start to cool it down most days.

2017 Expedition Limited EL with HD towing package. Getting 17.5mpg local driving and 22mpg highway driving ...
Seems we have the same Expy, but our best Interstate hwy (~80mph) is 16.6mpg, around town is 9-10mpg, pulling a heavy loaded tandem axle utility trailer, 350 Interstate miles @ ~80mph yielded 10.1mpg. I'm also heavy footed!

I've got a 2016 Limited. I'm averaging 21.4 over the 34000 miles I've put on her. It's gotten to where I'll get 22.1-22.4 on a tank, but I think that had to do with winter blends.
Caveat, mine is a 2wd and I do the majority of my driving with my thumbs.

'17, 18-19 winter, 20-21 summer, the hard way miles driven / gallons pumped. Like Jeff above, easy driver, buried the throttle maybe 4 times in 50k miles. At steady 70 will show 22+ and be an honest 22. Mileage indicated averages about 1 mpg higher than mileage actual

Highway (75 / 80) no trailer on 87 fuel 17 / 18 on 93 fuel 20 / 21.

Highway with trailer (70 / 75) (6500lb) 12.5 on 93 (dont tow on 87).

Interesting, on my 2017 HD tow I don't see a noticable difference from 87 to 91 towing or empty. Wondering if altitude makes a difference, what elevation are you at?

Recent round trip from SLC to northern California, 1422 miles, CC at 67MPH, 24.3MPG, 2018 Max XLT. Average City/Hwy is ~20MPG. Way better than my Gen 3, about 33%.
