Hi everyone

I would like to share my factory order timeline and the problem after I got it.

ordered on 1/13/2022 limited Max with stealth package(blacked out one)

producotion date 4/29/2022

delivered 6/2/2022

Problems

Pick my truck up from PA, and all the way to home on freeway, steering wheel is shaking when I go high speed, I thought that was the road condition, but it seems not, When i arrived NY on the express way with 45 mph, it seems fine, but if goes to 70 above, it shakes, i never seem this before. also stealth package comes with 22 inches wheels, went to local dealership today haven't got anything from them yet, and told me $150 would be charged for inspection, i was thinking if I don't get results from them, I would get my car back and going to body shop do the balancing.
anyone anyideas?

It definitely sounds like you have a wheel/tire out of balance. If you get charged a single penny, I would immediately contact Ford. You shouldn't have to pay anything. Tires are supposed to be balanced at the factory. That being said, it is possible that one of the stick on weights that they use these days could have come off. In any regard, it should be on Ford

Its also possible that the tires are flat spotted from being parked so long waiting on chips.......
Driving from pa to NY would have rounded them back out. The rubber on the 22’s are decent generals.
This sounds like a high speed balance or a rotor that is off balance (more rare).

Did you ever get this fixed? I’m having a similar problem, shaking above 75, have had it for two week driven approx 1500 miles. Took to Ford they say it’s the suspension on this model and nothing they can do- we are not talking about a little shake or feeling the road with the suspension- it’s shaking the steering wheel and floor boards. Took it to a local tire shop who said wheels were way out of balance, corrected that and did improve but not fully. Ford has basically said not their problem so wondering if you found a solution

These trucks are sitting on the lots for months with no movement in all kinds of weather conditions. The tires are probably spotting, the alignments are being thrown off. I'm sure this is why they are shaking so much. But this is a known issue that many people have discussed, including what to say to dealers to fix.

I had the same problem. I even warned the salesman about tire issues before I picked it up, but as soon as I drove it on the highway it vibrated badly. This really makes you wonder why your are paying for a pdi? Very frustrating. Dealership had to road force balance and two of the tires were so far out they needed replacement. Once they got aprroval from Ford and the two new tires arrived one of them also failed the road force balance. I then had to wait a few more weeks for another new tire. It now drives much better but I am still paranoid about vibrations. Don't pay a penny, the dealer needs to road force test and replace the bad tires. No exceptions.
