Expedition Orders

Hi, new to the forum. I "ordered" a new '22 Expedition at the end of April. I know it's gonna be sometime before I get it but can anyone fill me in as to how this process really works and what to expect?

Have really low expectations, like, zero. Chances are Ford will still not meet your extremely low expectations anyway.

In all honesty best guess would be build in September, takes typically 4-6 weeks for shipment to dealer. That is probably the most ideal expectation for you.

+1 on this advice. No matter how long and frustrating you think it might be, it will probably be longer and more frustrating.

You must be one of the very last '22s on order. I wouldn't be surprised if your order got moved to a '23. Either way it will be a while before you find out anything.

Yep it’s going to take some time. Ordered mine on 1/22/22 and it has been “in production” for a week now. Got the limited with no crazy options as my salesman said that could lengthen the wait. Saw on other chats that it could be a couple months after it goes into production before it gets delivered. Be prepared to be frustrated.

Did anyone receive anything other than a "your order is confirmed email"? I find it odd not to have any order number or reservation code.

Hi! I ordered my 22 11/16/21… it’s still not here, last expected date was 7/1 however it’s still not built or shipped so I doubt it will arrive. It went into production 3/30/22.

Update I just called ford and they changed it to late august early September now.

Ordered expedition max platinum on 12/05/21 was told it was built on 3/22/22 and is sitting on off- site parking awaiting chip. Ford representatives aren’t telling the dealers anything. Dealers hands are tied. I happened to go in to check when ford rep was there and service manager had me go up and ask him. What did he say… they are waiting on chips… maybe end of august for mine.. “MAYBE”
Has anyone received theirs yet?
Be prepared to wait. I was going to cancel and go to a suburban high country and they are a 6 month wait

I ordered in March, scheduled for production June 6, just got bumped to June 28. I'm not gonna start expecting it until Aug-Sept.

Mine has a delivery date of the 20th of this month….. I will believe it when I see it… really excited though! First ever SUV for me, truck won’t cut it with 3 girls under 3.
