Just took my 2018 in for service this morning, however I think my Expy cools fine. (I live in humid & hot southern climate).
Perhaps a few forum members can measure the temperature of the A/C dash vents when A/C is set on Max, after allowing the A/C to run for approximately 4 minutes. You could compare with your truck to get a sense of how well the A/C is working.

When I was at the dealer last year, everything "tested" fine....of course. I've just learned to accept it, which is wrong, but I really don't care anymore. I just crank it up and it's ok. I really like my Expy, but my extended warranty goes thru 11/2024. It'll be gone prior to that, maybe even late next year. I've just lost all love for this truck and Ford's continual BS.

just purchased my 2020 limited about 3-4 weeks ago. it's under bumper to bumper until october 2022 (in-service date was october 2019). a couple weeks after taking possession, the A/C was not cooling. took it back to the selling dealer (a lincoln dealership) and they stated it was low on refrigerant and topped it off. working well as of now with daily temps in the mid 90's. glad I have this service documented before the b-2-b warranty runs out.

I live in AZ with an '18 MAX and the AC blows super cold instantly. Once the cabin cools down we have to turn down the AC fan speed cause it's freezing. We have a black on black Expedition with vista sunroof, so it's impressive how well our AC works. However, we did take our vehicle in about a year ago because the rear wasn't cooling at all (hot air only). There was a TSB/recall for contaminated refrigerant which Ford replaced parts + refrigerant under warranty and have been fine ever since.

To put this in comparison, we had a 2021 Chrysler Grand Caravan rental recently, and the AC was so terrible the cabin would never cooldown. We would be sweating our entire drive and ended up trading for a different vehicle...

EDIT: Here's the TSB for the AC: https://www.tsbsearch.com/Ford/20N08
