BlueCruise will not be released in the future for the non-Platinum versions. If you look at the order guide, Platinum includes "FORD CO-PILOT360 ACTIVE2.0" vs. "Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0" and "Ford Co-Pilot360TM Assist+" for other trim levels. These all represent hardware packages. BlueCruise is a software package in addition the the hardware package needed for it, and is listed separately.
I have no idea why we're getting BlueCruise "included" with the price of the vehicle, whereas for my Mach E, I had to specify the hardware package, and (in theory) pay extra for the software to activate it, and only on a subscription basis at that.
I'm still wondering if BlueCruise is included forever. If you look at the live data for Navigation, it's called out as a three year subscription, whereas BlueCruise is listed with no such limitation.
You're getting it included to differentiate the platinum trim from other trims. Same way you get the more premium leather seats, you can't specify if you want them or not. (Multi-contour supply chain issues aside)
Blue cruse will be a subscription service, just like supercruse from GM. the Navgation data you're calling out is 3 year subscription for continuous updates, after the 3 years you have to pay for the updates yourself or extend your subscription. Supercruse/bluecruse require the updates to function and if your subscription is termed, they assume the maps are out of date, and the software shuts the functionality off. You will still have navigation after the 3 years, the system will work, but the roads might not be accurate or updated.
