Mine has been 'In Production' for a week now. From what I understand it moves to that status about a week before they actually start to build it. What you want to look for on the Ford tracking sight is a date under/next to the 'In Production'. On the ordertrack.app sight you want to see a date under Blend Date. So, you want to see one of these two (or both) dates. Also from the ordertrack.app site you can click on the View Modules link and when you start to see modules listed they are really building it.
So I have an invoiced date of Jun 10th no blend date but under modules it says PCM and BCE, does this mean I am getting closer? lol

My Invoice date was 3/22. My production date was 3/29. I'm still in "chip hold". The dealer says my expected date is 8/2-6. Of course, we've come to the conclusion that these dates are useless.

Does calling ford marketing give better updates than your dealer? My dealer says he sees a priority code on the order but that seems like it means nothing. I ordered a limited max in February once build guide website went live. Got a confirmation email. Then delay email. And nothing since. It’s so hard hearing all of these issues and I don’t even have a production date yet.

I put a down payment on another expedition coming in to my dealer that was the exact same as I ordered back in November, been on chip hold since March. With ETA of 8/14, This dealer order was built in May, and just came in yesterday. Will go today to pick it up! I feel like I’m living a dream!

Ordered a Stealth 303a , confirmed 1/31. Build date of 6/20. Just checked the tracking site. Now it shows "in production" window sticker shows 6/15 in the bottom box. Unfortunately it's missing the hands free liftgate and Active Park Assist.
How long does the build take ?? Now the hope that it doesn't go on chip hold.

UPDATE: so, I don't have a date on the Ford tracking site, I don't have a Blend Date on the ordertrack.app site, BUT I DO see modules listed viewing the modules from ordertrack.app. It's really happening. :rotflmao::roflsquared::party36:

This is great for you, but also an example of the complete insanity of Ford to preference dealer orders over special orders. I assume this is either (a) intentional, and based on some arrangement they have with their dealers, or (b) intentional because the current pricing is several thousand more, or (c) incompetence at the operational level.

Could be a combo of all three. But in any event the loyal pre-ordering customers lose out. Not a good look.

I definitely agree with you on this! When I ordered mine, I was told I would be one of the first in our area (Southwest Louisiana) to have mine, but as I have seen I wasn’t. I feel like dealer orders are getting priority over customer orders in every aspect in this case. And thankfully my dealer is honoring my original build price!

My dealer told me that dealers were allocated vehicles when they attend Ford shows and those are the vehicles that ended up on lots before customer orders. He had 5 come in , but they were all models I didn't want... hopefully mine gets built next week.
A buddy of mine got one and I drove it for a while on Sunday. I loved it !!! Intelligent Cruise control is cool.

I received the “Your Vehicle has been Built” email this morning. Estimated delivery 7/14-7/20. Ordertrack.app shows “Awaiting Shipping” with no blend date. Ford Tracker still shows “In Production” with no date.

Max, Silver, 303A, CCD, EDLS, HDtow, Sync4a, Bench, Adv Cargo
Ordered 4/1
Order Confirmation 4/13
In Production 6/9
Built 6/17
