Does anyone know if an aftermarket exhaust exists for the 2022 model year, and if it makes any difference, specifically the High Output 3.5 from the limited SPP

I haven't seen any, but I can tell you this from my experience, having purchased multiple kits and products all over the place, once you crack into this engines exhaust, the noise is nasty. I just did a long trip hauling a 7K lb trailer, and the noise/drone was pretty miserable. I'm not sure why it's so picky but it is. I have tried everything from magnaflow to CGS, to now I have a combination of CGS and SPD parts, which makes it bearable under most conditions. The magnaflow was nauseating, absolutely terrible.

I've since tried putting sound deadener in, did the muffler wrap (which did nothing but melted to the muffler), etc. I've tried the heat shields on the actual pipe, nothing. Mine is currently a side exhaust, not sure if the rear exhaust would make it any better, but truly its the muffler noise you can hear in the cabin.

Now mine is likely way worse since I do have the turbo adapters and SPD downpipes, but if I had it to do all over, I would have kept the factory exhaust mated to the downpipes, with the hopes it would have been better.

In stalled the Magnaflow exhaust and the sound outside was amazing. However, the droning inside the cabin was horrible. I installed 3 different resonators and tried a couple of custom mods, but nothing helped. I was going to just live with it until I drove 1100 miles to Florida and was ready leave the vehicle on the side of the road.

I installed the factory exhaust for the return trip and it was HEAVEN!! Sold it and learned that the guy who purchased also went back to stock, as he also drove long distances.

Good Luck.

I've found through the years on different cars and trucks Borla worked out the best Flowmaster had the worst drone of all.

Old thread from a year ago, when some of us were searching for a better sound: https://www.expeditionforum.com/threads/exhaust-sound-how-to-slightly-improve.45494/
Gentlemen, happy to report, I had my exhaust guy cut in this Borla muffler, from their Touring (quietest) series. It is 2.75" center Inlet/Outlet, with a 3'' core. Initial inside testing: totally silent when no load/boost, and no drone to my ears. Yes, you can hear it, a low, deep tone similar to a diesel/Powerstroke with after market exhaust. Totally silent on cruise control, 55, 65, 75 & 85, then a low, deep sound when inclines occur. More noticeable at WOT, but not obtrusive to myself, or Ms. Sensitive Ears (wifey). No idea about sound outside. I have videos of stock exhaust starting. I'll try to get some with this mod.

It got me to thinking, what if it is too noticeable inside, and I thought of a muffler blanket, which I've used at race tracks when we exceed sound limits.
Tunage, wonder if something similar would reduce your done issue? https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dei-010455

Magna-flow were nicknamed "Magna-Drone" for a reason, they are HORRIBLE.

If you want a muffler to "try", Try a Corsa muffler. Their systems have always been dead silent on the highway and wicked loud on heavy throttle. The Magnaflow junk is super thin material and the sound comes right thru their ****** muffler case and rattles your Brain.

I thought about this, as I've had Corsa on numerous cars and loved them! however they only sell complete kits unless you go for a street custom muffler, but I can't find those either. If anyone can get Corsa mufflers (I'd have to figure out the right size as there isn't much room under this thing) but I'd be willing to go back to the exhaust shop, have them cut the current muffler out and put in a corsa.

@FlyBry I tried the blanket, did nothing for cabin noise on this thing and unfortunately that blank melted to the muffler. My exhaust guy warned me about that, said in his experience the EcoBoost exhausts run a lot hotter than most. I literally had to scrape the melted material off the muffler when I took the blanket off.
