Our poor Expedition. 2019 Stealth, Readylift with 34" Falken on Fuel wheels. It has 33K.
A month ago, we started getting random "shift sys fault" alerts that had to do with the park pawl solenoid. Simple fix- drop pan, change solenoid, reinstall pan. Picked it up after repair, drove 25 miles home and stuffed in garage due to incoming storms. Later, went to back it out after storms passed and garage reeked of trans fluid.
Sure enough- underside was coated. Called service advisor and he fell over himself apologizing. I wasn't too keen on driving it there and he agreed to have it towed. So this morning, it left on a rollback.
Just got the call the service procedure stated to reuse the pan gasket- and that's what was leaking. New one coming tomorrow and I will get it back.
The kicker- while it was being strapped down on the rollback, the driver pointed out my rear endlinks were both broken. Hellwig bars I installed 2 months ago. Both broken cleanly at the same spot. Ever seen that?
I am very happy with my service advisor- he went out of his way answering calls after hours and making the Expedition a priority.

Hopefully there was always sufficient transmission fluid present on your drive home to prevent any damages. Sounds like your SA is a good guy.

BTW, did you opt for the Moog end links on your Hellwig rear sway bar, or keep the stock ones?

Could this have happened during the tow? Not sure if it was flatbed towing or not but could have caused excessive pressure on the end links (if the rims were strapped to the deck) and snapped them?
I'm interested in knowing how it happened. Have the same set up.

Can you post pictures of the Broken end links? Especially macro photos of the failed portions. There are very specific instructions in the manual about not using impact wrenches on several of the suspension components.

I will get pics after I get it back. I’m very curious too- used a torque wrench when I installed. They are broken on the link itself- not the joint. I drove it on the rollback so nothing Extreme. I didn’t Get a chance to really look it over as he was headed to the dealer over the transmission leak

Somewhat of an update.
The Expy is still in the shop waiting on a pan gasket. In the interim, I delivered MOOG links to have them install while it is on the lift.
Service advisor sends me a message they are too short... So I requested a picture.
Hmm. The angle looks completely wrong- So I compared it to another pic from this forum and I do believe I have the bar on wrong! Reversed- Is that even possible?
Regardless, I will wait to kick myself until I hear from him. Its the only logical explanation.
I remember when I installed it, the lower links looked like the angle was funny but it bolted together so I didn't think twice.
IF its not reversed, I have something else going on. I verified it was the correct part number when I installed.
I will keep you posted.

Well- I can update now
I INSTALLED IT BACKWARDS! I remember being in a hurry when I installed it and thinking the lower link angle was extreme. But it fit and I didn't follow up. That's how good the Hellwigs are BTW- We have likely only had use of the front bar for awhile and it actually still handled better than with both factory bars hooked up. Totally on me and I'm kicking my own rear-end for being in a rush. So for future Hellwig installers- pay attention! And yes- they are worth it. Now hopefully the new gasket seals up the transmission pan.
