I bought the dorman aftermarket lamps but am now having an issue in my BCM. I have a 3rd Gen Expy (2017) and my Bdycm is throwing a couple codes and shows that the circuit is shorted to ground - it is only putting out 1.2v on the puddle lamp wire. So beware of the aftermarket puddle lamps. Granted the puddle lamps still works but the Bdycm puddle lamp circuit died so I don't know if it is an internal issue or if it is the puddle lamps causing an issue.

I will post the codes later when I have time but from memory - puddle lamp circuit short to ground, driver disabled, and some *3000 code (I don't remember what letter it was from memory - I think it was a U).

Any help or advice would be appreciated. I do have codes for a couple other issues like a key switch short to ground code and my humidity sensor is shorted to ground it says. But everything else besides the puddle lamps work fine.

I have brightrax LED puddle lamps by drive bright and have never had an issue with them on two expeditions now.

Thanks for the nice reference to our Bright TRAX LED puddle lights. Our Bright TRAX will not cause any issues like this.EdgeBannerAd.gif
