I’m having the same issues. Timer extension doesn’t work, some of the buttons on my steering wheel don’t work at times, and the adaptive cruise cancels for no reason in the middle of driving and prevents me from turning it back on for several seconds. Not happy that I paid $75k for an SUV that has had more problems in two months than I ever had with my Infinity QX80.

Have you tried the “Extended” timer setting at all? Mine doesn’t work.
Mine doesn't work either. When I talked to the dealer about it, he gave the lazy response of, "just leave one of the doors cracked so they don't close until I'm done loading the car."

It is annoying that neither of the timer settings work.

Strange observation on the running board actuation, surprised they would design in that fashion. Perhaps a cost reduction or removed a chip from the design requirements

Same here on our 22. Both boards come down regardless of door opened, and the extended timers don’t work. You can change the setting and it will stay set to that, but they still retract in 3-5 seconds. Does anyones 22 actually work according to the settings and stay down longer? I’m wondering if they are all that way or just some of them.

They did it this way so the passenger side fails at the same time as the driver. That way when they die just after your warranty expires you can replace them both, great money maker. Ofcourse you can have the option of driving with them both hanging down, I'm sure we have all seen a few of those and they are not leaving them down on purpose.

But seriously, hopefully there is something that can be changed with Forscan? Is there anyone out there with a 2022 that has them opening independently? I think I also saw a review that showed they come down when you unlock the doors with the fob?? All of these extra movements on both sides will kill those motors fast.

Just took delivery of the 2022 and I noticed this right away. came here to check and sure enough I'm not the only one. To confirm what others are saying- both sides deploy when I open the drivers door, by the time I get around to other side to open the door for my kids, they have retracted (about 3-5 secs). The settings don't change the behavior at all (selecting Auto- extended time). Has anyone found a fix for this? something in Forscan? Thanks Dan

Same here. If the extended timer setting actually worked, that would probably satisfy us, honestly. Ours is a true family vehicle and if one door is being opened, there is a 90% chance one on the other side will be, too. As it is though, it's annoying and putting more wear and tear on the mechanism than I prefer.

Noticed another side "benefit" of the running boards opening on unlock today. I was rinsing my expy at the coin wash today and as I rinsed over the door handles and the doors locked/unlocked the boards went up and down. At least 3 or 4 times. There will be a lot of reports of the motors failing in 2 years.
