My husband tried to have it removed from our order. It's the law in our area to have one so dealer could not remove. Teslas in our area are not delivered with front license plate brackets and plenty of people don't add them, so he figured it was worth a try.
It’s also the law in both states i have lived but have requested they don’t mount it in multiple orders and that was what was done. The plate is mounted at the dealer so as long as they listen you’ll be ok. There is zero legal requirement for them to place a mount on the front of your new truck.

Same build week here, and as of a couple weeks ago Marketing told me it was specifically 6/26. No change on the tracker as of now. May check with Marketing again today.
Can you give me the marketing number please.

A bit of good news and perhaps encouragement... Ford does still occasionally build Expeditions and deliver them.

01/31 - Ordered
01/31 - Order Confirmed
03/18 - Updated e-mail Ford - possible delays in production
04/28 - Ford e-mail production date confirmed for 06/20
05/21 - Ford e-mail - production moved up to 06/6
06/12 - Tracker showed production date slipped to 06/12
06/14 - Ford e-mail - Build - ETA Delivery - 07/04 to 07/10 (Dallas, TX).
06/24 - Delivered to dealer and picked up on the 25th.
So for me the long wait is over, but for the rest of you, hang in there. Only been driving it for a couple of days, but do think it is a great vehicle.
Congrats. Enjoy your truck

Shipping question. Can anyone tell me from looking at this whether this means that the car has actually shipped? I'm finding this part to be the most frustrating. I'm only 500 miles from KY, and my car shouldn't even have to get on the train. It says that it's shipped, but it seems like the other steps put a date as to when it happened? I hope it gets here soon so I don't have to keep checking my email / tracker 100 times a day!

This is just getting past ridiculous.

Ordered: 1/10
Email that it went into production last week of February
Actually went into production 3/16
Built on 5/28
Estimated delivery June 16
Estimated deliver July 10
Estimated delivery July 26

I’m sorry but this is getting to be absurd. I’ve read so many people who ordered after me on here who already have there’s. I live in AL and it’s being built in Kentucky.

I think what probably ****** me off the most is my dealer. They have not ONCE reached out to me. I’ve had to contact them. But I guess they don’t give a shit if they sell it to me or not cause someone will surely buy it immediately. They do nothing to advocate for me.

My dealership ALSO shows MY CAR with MY VIN on their website as in stick and available. They show that they have several expeditions in stock and several more in transit. Which is all a lie. They have non in stock. They say that Ford controls that which is total bull.

I understand that there supply chain issues and shipping issues. But 2.5 months to build it and now another 2 months to deliver it. And there’s no confidence in that. This is just absurd

I ordered my Expedition 3/9/22, received a confirmation email and nothing further. I've contacted my dealer quite a few times. I took delivery of a few Super Duty F450 chassis that I ordered LAST JULY this past week and asked my dealer what was going on and he rattled of a litany of other horror stories.

Limited
302A High Package

I'm pretty shocked to see people on the forum ordering after me and having further communication from Ford. I can't even open my original tracking email anymore. I click the link and it's a dead end. I shouldn't be surprised.

I ordered 2 Expeditions for my father in November. A Limited Stealth and a Platinum because I wasn't sure which he would like more. Same color, etc. He picked up his Limited Stealth the first week of July. The Platinum is slated for delivery in the middle of July. Supposedly missing over 6 options. He isn't happy with the ride because of the stiffer suspension. Coming from a Navigator I kind of figured that would be his reaction. But the new Navigator isn't even being built.

I was thinking about taking the Stealth from my dad if he wanted the Platinum but at this point I don't think that'll be an option. Wish I ordered mine sooner. About ready to pull the plug and buy a Tahoe High Country and cut my losses.

Extremely frustrating.

I'm in a similar boat and can empathize with you.

Timeline:
Ordered 11/12/2021
Scheduled for production week of 3/7
Pushed back to 3/14
Pushed back to 3/21
Pushed back to 4/4
Pushed back to 4/11
Pushed back to 4/18
Pushed back to 4/25
Complete radio silence for months the entire time (dealership did not provide me any updates, I had to ask)
Built email on 6/24
No idea when it will actually ship (email says arrival at dealership expected 7/14 - 7/20)

I hate the market dynamics right now. The dealership doesn't have to care because they know that if I walk away they'll sell it for far more than what we agreed to. It used to be that you could walk and they'd come crawling back asking you to buy the truck.

And, I'm already preparing myself for them to try and back out of our initial agreement. Terrible situation at all angles.
