Issue: Some 2018-2021 Expedition/Navigator and 2020-2021 Explorer/Aviator vehicles equipped with a 10R80 MHT/10R60 may exhibit a momentary transmission neutral-out condition while in drive. Vehicle may also have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P07E6 and/or P07E4 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM) and/or a possible audible noise. This may be due to a leak in the park valve circuit. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to inspect the park system hardware for wear or damage and replace the valve body separator plate with an improved valve body separator plate.

Warranty Status: Eligible under provisions of New Vehicle Limited Warranty (NVLW)/Service Part Warranty (SPW)/Special Service Part (SSP)/Extended Service Plan (ESP) coverage. Limits/policies/prior approvals are not altered by a TSB. NVLW/SPW/SSP/ESP coverage limits are determined by the identified causal part and verified using the OASIS part coverage tool.

Wow de ja vu to the T. I have been fighting that issue for a while with my 2020 stealth. 40mph and 80mph full throttle punch and goes into neutral.
They put on on a Valve body and control module and it actually got worse. Normal, no spirited, driving was terrible. After the 5th time taking it in, I was done. Found a white Timberline and will never look back.
If you have this issue then I suggested find something different or prepare yourself to be displaced from your ride for a while. And you cant blame your ford techs working on it. They will more than likely open up a hotline with a master tech for advise and I don't think they have the solution yet. Not on mine at least.

I'm curious, if your read that statement, specifically "replace the valve body separator plate with an improved valve body separator plate." So does this mean that many of us are now driving around with a deficient separator plate? And it's just a ticking time bomb? I mean essentially if you figured out there's an issue and redesigned it, kind of a problem. Reminds me of the phaser "redesign" that apparently has and hasn't helped.

I don’t have to worry about this one yet. My battery is still unhooked to prevent engine fire. This crap is just wonderful!!!
So you haven't been driving it? wow, I'd run it and let it burn on their dime, they sold it and are liable.

You bought another identical transmission, what makes you think this Timberline won't do the same thing in years to come? Just curious on your thoughts....

If this is the "slipping into neutral then slamming back into gear" issue, then it's at least encouraging that Ford has finally acknowledged it and is doing something about it. Long overdue, but it's better than the standard "could not reproduce" or useless fixes that Ford always knew wouldn't fix the underlying issue.

Deadman, fingers crossed. There are many tweaks in the 22 models and maybe it carried down to the drivetrain. I’m a tad ruff on mine; hopefully I can find all the flaws under warranty again. Kinda weird though I traded right before that tsb came out. Maybe they would have fixed it. Oh well
