2007 Navigator 4x4, looking for best option to replace rear air suspension. Am I going to have the message on the info screen if I don't buy one of these conversion kits? My compressor has been unplugged since I've owned the vehicle (just recently discovered this) and now that summer is here it just rides like a log wagon anytime I get past 60mph.

Recommendations? I was checking out Monroe quick struts or the strutmaster conversion.

How long have you owned it? If the compressor has been unplugged for some time, you would bottoming out at any speed on the smallest bumps and dips.
Have you verified that you have air suspension and it hasn't already been converted?.
If you have Air suspension and it is holding level, why would you eliminate it?
Although conversion eliminates the multi component Air system, the ride quality is downgraded with coil springs.

My thoughts as well, speaking from someone who is working on a navigator air suspension right now. If you had no air at all your back end would be resting virtually on the tires and beat you to death on the road at any speed above 5mph. If you don't get the error eliminator thing....forget exactly what they call it you'll have the check suspension message permanent in the info center.

I haven't decided to go coils or repair what's acting up on ours yet but the bit I've read up I haven't seen many positive reviews regarding Monroe on these. Generally people say they are floaty, soft, and have too much roll.

The fuse for my compressor is unplugged, has been since I bought it last Sept. They are holding air for sure, but they feel so bouncy on the highway it's miserable.

You can replace it with a conversion kit, or by the pieces separately, which consists of coil springs, and regular shocks for the front, and the directions will tell you how to turn the suspension message off

Is there another reason it would be riding so poorly from 60 and up? I've already had the tires checked for balance and they are fine.

That's interesting.
You should put the fuse back in and see what happens.
Can you post a pic of one of the shocks?

I can get a pic here shortly. Honestly, I really like my navigator but I've come to see all the bull hockey fixes the dealership I bought it from did to make it look presentable. I'm worried that if I hook it up, something will go terribly wrong. All the dealers here in my area are covered up (some will not see new customers) and I don't want to end up really bad off.

Ha! Jokes on me, that doesn't look like air suspension at all. Sorry for the delay, it rained all afternoon yesterday. This does look kind of like the strutmaster kit (maybe really old) safe to just put some bilsteins
