Well I turned my 2018 Max Limited in for a 22 Timberline. I wanted a K&N cold air intake for the 22 but K&N does not have one available. I Removed my K&N cold air intake from the 2018 before turning it in and being an engineer and a gear head I figured lets see if the old unit would fit the new truck. Long story short, after a quick trip to Lowes I niw have a fully functional cold air system. All the original 2018 parts fit perfectly on the 2022. Had to plug one opening and drill another for the intake sensor.

just wanted to put this out there if anyone is interested in wanting to run a cold air intake. I can provide the details and pics if needed.

K&N makes good boxxes, but on Turbo motors there filters are crap. The light you can see through the filter is fine, as long as the filter is still oiled. The oil is what traps the dust, not the media. But even with that, there are MUCH better options.

Very Nice. I installed a K & N Cold air intake on my 2017 Raptor. Here in CA, it's one of the few options that are CARB compliant. IU've heard that a custom tune is not required, but necessary if one really wants to take advantage of the improved airflow.

Do you have an improved induction noise with the K&N versus OEM setup?

The k & n definitely has an increase in induction noise compared to stock. I love it in my raptor, but not sure if I’d dig it in my expedition.

What do you recommend for after market filters?
