You have a very high book value on a 2011.
The other driver's insurance company completely fixed my 2008, with 140K miles on it. Was hit when parked by a van delivering mackerel to Chinese restaurants. The van was totaled. They put the 2008 Expedition's book value at $11,000.
The total repair bill here was $5200 and they paid another $4200 for a rental. The left quarter was creased and the floor in the cargo area badly buckled. The liftgate was $500 and the rear bumper $200.
Fix your 2011. It's worth quite a bit and you have a much more simple repair.
