Hi

I tried to look up in the interet/ forums/ youtube

That is the proper max oil temperature in transsmision (2019)
I see that in can be up to 230 F
and during 220 F there is a termostat that opens to cool a transmission a bit

Usually i do not cross 210 F (but i try not to go too fast - up to 75)

Sorry for quesiton but in Europe we got diffrent speed limits (90 miles/h) and in 2weeks i got to Spain (temperature like in Texas)

And I thinking about buying and installing additional cooler (something like this - https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/find/ford-expedition-oe-transmission-cooler)

What do You think??
Be greatfull for Your opinions

I think you're fine with the existing cooler. When going up steep grades, use the lower gears and slow down. The fluid is designed for temps in the 230+ range. Also, be sure you're using a good quality Mercon ULV fluid.

Accoring to

I found that the normal operating temperatur on long trips (or during the towning) is between 200-225 F

For all three ambient temperature conditions the final engine oil temperature for the US06 is around 100° C to 110° C.

Due to have better fuel economy and smoother change gears the ULV oil is working the best between tose temperatures
And ULV is designed to reach even 290 F without any problems

From an actual transmission engineer:
You can run the trans as high as 220F all day long with NO ill effects. You can go as high as 250F for no more than a half hour at a time.
