My SPP has just landed at the local rail yard. I was just told by my sales guy that not only was my price locked in when I ordered in March, but also my interest rate. If that’s true, that would be absolutely amazing.
That's impressive. My sales contact told me incentives and interest rates would be dependent on the date of vehicle delivery.

I didn't place a special order but I put a deposit to hold one at a dealer and they said they can't do any paperwork or deals until the vehicle shows up on the lot.

This is a bit different I assume since I'm just reserving a dealer ordered car.

Called Ford today for update on delivery from rail yard, 30 miles to dealer, was supposed to be July 22nd-29th, now July 30th to August 5th. Been sitting at the railyard since the 20th. Considering i was 1 of the first to order the 22 in the country and still do not have it really BLOWS. Ford is HORRIBLE.

Unfortunately the rail yard is not Ford's fault - the entire logisitics industry is in crisis/survival mode.
I hope they get it to you soon.

Yes.

My production week is 8/1 but it went into production a couple days ago. The tracking website window sticker started working yesterday, but I was able to get it earlier by using https://ordertrack.app

Looks like the tracking website is down right now (it’s been off/on the last few days), but ordertrack still brings up my sticker.

Thanks! That make sense if you went into production already. I use Order Track already and more just trying to track when people who are not yet in production but scheduled for next week start seeing theirs. Could be an indication of a delay so trying to get any data points I can!

"X" Plan is 2% over dealer true cost (remember hoop jumping paperwork from Ford) not invoice. Ford will then kick back 6% to the dealer for taking the "X" plan order or sale (if item on lot). At a minimum, the dealer will make 8% on the sale, plus whatever they can try to up-sell at close of the deal and delivery of the vehicle.

All paperwork for a "plan" order lists "A", "X", "Z" plan pricing on the bottom. A regular sales rep does not have access to "plan" pricing, no matter what they tell you over the phone, or via email. I have yet to see a dealer sell a 2022 Expedition below plan pricing, as that would be below 2% over their true cost, meaning they would be making less than 2% on the deal.

Bill

PS: I actually received a pleasant surprise in the mail last week in the form of a roughly 2K check from the dealer, who had better cost pricing with Ford, associated with my "plan" order, and refunded me to stay within "plan" rules, regulations, and guidelines. Your expereience may vary, but mine shows a dealer who sticks to it, knowing they will received countless referrals out of my positive experience with them. Some will also be "plan" buyers, many more will not be.
That is really interesting. Has it changed? Everywhere I look online, including several websites linked to Ford or those of Ford dealers, say it is calculated using the method I described. Here are some exampled from a quick search in no particular order:

More than one dealer provided print outs with the X plan pricing on the bottom as you mentioned. The numbers were not the same despite the options on the vehicle being the same.

That's awesome. I am hoping we have a positive experience with the dealer we ordered with. Passing by a good many dealers to go with them, but several of the others just frustrated us almost to the point of exhaustion. I'd prefer not to see or talk to a dealer for a while after we pick ours up, but they are welcome to send us a check at any point! Ha.

What you posted above are strictly examples, and not the actual byproduct of the "plan" of your eligibility. Each dealer has a specific number multiplier that gets factored in when they are quoting or placing a "plan" order. As such, minor differences in the numbers given can be expected, but never more than $100-$150 on a $60,000 "plan" order (used for an example only). Where the bigger number differences can play in, is the add on of a "dealer line option, dealer charges, or even local, county, and state charges", but the basic numbers for the vehicle and factory options, if quoted apples to apples at 100% the same from one dealer to another, will not, or should not change.

The real print out of a quoted order, or an actual order processed, will have all three "plan" prices listed at the bottom of the paperwork.

Finally, as I stated above, specifically dealing with a "X" plan order, you are purchasing the vehicle at 2% over true dealer cost, Ford kicks back an additional 6% to the dealer for taking the "VIP" order from a "plan" participant . If a dealer states they are giving you a percentage off their "invoice", that is not their actual cost for a specific vehicle, and they are playing a different game without any rules or regulations.

Bill

PS: The benefit of a dealer taking a "plan" order is a simple one, it does not factor in to their floorplan costs, nor does it affect their annual allotment of vehicles in which they can order. There are additional benefits offered internally for taking "plan" orders, but I do not have access to that information, nor would I post it if I had it, as it is strictly internal between Ford and it's dealer network.
