My 22 max expedition XLT was hit by a company truck when he backed up over 30 into my parked expy. He was ticketed and my car has been in the shop just over a month now.
The body shop estimates at least 15k of damages to the front end. It was not drivable and had to be towed.
Obviously the problem is supply chain which is why so many expys are still still there waiting on parts etc. They have to provide OEM since it was produced less than 24 months ago. Had 1200 miles on it.
The body shop has no ETA for a lot of parts, especially sensors. They are estimating at least 6-9 months of waiting. They just finished a 20 navigator and it waited 6 months for less damage.
Does anyone know my options? We need my car back it’s our family vehicle. Yes we’re in a rental at their expense but it’s just not doing what we need it to do and there’s a wait for large suvs obviously because of the supply chain now affecting rentals.
Wanted to add I’m okay super shaken up, my dogs were with me and they hit the dash but they’re better, and thankfully my kids weren’t with me. We have an attorney for injuries but not the loss of the vehicle.
