Funny about that. They have the parts to install on new trucks but don't or won't install the parts on those that have been sold. Unreal.
Yep. Production trumps service stock. That's always the case.

I had the fire and wipes completed at the same time, so parts are available.

I was at the dealer and asked and was told parts weren't available. That was 3 weeks ago. When did you have the recall done?

Tuesday, August 16th. I was only scheduled for the fire (which took two weeks to get in) but by that time they had the wiper parts and did both.

Also told the same thing, for this and the wipers. We have an appointment for September 9 just to have it "inspected and disconnected". Ours doesn't have heavy tow so I'm thinking the service writer is just a bit confused. My hope is that just maybe they'll get parts in before the appointment.

Has Ford missed the fact that Start of production for 21MY was 11/30/20? Why are they including build dates starting July 2020 in the recalls? Makes me wonder if the defective battery junction boxes could affect some of the 20MY as well.

As a result of the broad availability of Recall Service parts, Ford is ending Long Term rentals effective September 21, 2022...

Regrets on my choice of introductory words.

I'll refrain from personal interpretation and let notices stand on their own in the future.

Just had the recall completed yesterday. Appointment was made over 2 weeks ago just to have it inspected as parts were not available. Obviously they came in in the interim.
