100% not my fault accident and it's a apparently too much for me to want to be made whole again. Really didn't think it was THAT bad to be totaled by insurance, but alas that's the verdict when shop said frame needs to be replaced. Only 80k miles and pristine. It was a special dealer order White Platinum Pearl with tan interior fully loaded with all options and I've never been able to find another anywhere. Insurance says they'll not cover the custom grille or rims in the valuation, which really adds to the this sucks vibe. Ugh... Now to decide whether to take the $ and find something else or get it repaired & own it with a salvage title.

Anybody here happen to know of one possibly available to buy? Ideas?

Well I would just go with a insurance claim. Its a pain to insure a salvage vehicle. Not counting costum grille or rims!!!! That's horrible! I would bargain with them and try to get as much money as possible. The Thing is is that its not like you can go buy another 80k Expedition cause you don't know what the previous owner did to it. That really sucks!

The the airbags deploy?
6 months ago I slammed into Bambie's dad at 60 MPH... 100% his fault
no air bags but $15K to replace all the busted parts including right front wheel.
Yours just doesn't look that bad.
Sorry to see a nice ride like that get bent.
My 2020 has runs nice and quiet just like before..there was no frame damage.

Have you spoken to a body/frame shop? Maybe all it needs is a tweek here or a tug there. Do not believe what the insurance company's say..

If you decide to keep it vs letting the insurance company take it, it will affect the amount of your check and the title as well. When my wife's car was totaled, our insurance company gave us the option of handing the car over and taking a check for $9,000 or keeping the car and taking a check for $7,500. I took option B. We kept the car and the title was not branded because the car was never scrapped.

FWIW, if the title is branded, you can get it rebuilt and insuring it shouldn't be a problem. My wife's current vehicle is an R-title (as are 95% of the used vehicles sold on Facebook, Craigslist, private used car lots, etc. these days). It had to pass an enhanced inspection to be titled as Rebuilt and we had no issues insuring it.

I was rear-ended a few months ago in my 2011. 4k worth of damage and it was repaired. I found out that, at least from what my adjuster told me, ford has one of the strictest requirements for frame damage. He said 3mm out of shape and they have to replace not adjust it and its 6-8k for a frame plus labor. You can try to haggle a little back and forth on what the insurance company is willing to pay.

Met with the shop today that performed the teardown and repair estimate & saw the hidden frame damage. 2 shops I spoke with afterwards said they could do the job, but from their experience they didn't recommend it. California is really tough recertifying to remove salvage title. So damned sad...

If you plan on keeping it till it drops dead (what I do), then so what if it has a salvage title? If it is straight, drives fine, no drivetrain issues, etc. then having it straightened isn't a big deal. If you trade in and want value out of it, you may have an issue, but you already lost value in the wreck. If insurance makes it worth your while ($15K +) then maybe bite the bullet and find something else. Otherwise, you can't replace it right now for less in this market. Wife had 9 year old Sonata totaled right before it got bad and we did go and get another. Had to haggle with my and other insurance, but ended up getting 8K less than we paid for it new. Repair because airbags and seatbelt tensioners blew was going to be too high. Otherwise, I would have fixed that.
