Still under warranty?

Take it to the dealer for the water-leak repair.

Could you rent a vehicle from somewhere other than the Ford dealer?

I would not want water getting into interior trim items, especially the headliner.

When mine was done there weren't any parts really involved. They basically eliminated a circuit and wrapped the wire.

She had it a dealer for the fire recall and wipers also. parts will be in ???????, some of them have tohave whole fuse box replaced even cover !!! some where on this forum is a print out and check list for the dealer to follow. Service mgr box needs replacing complete rebuild. let them put all new parts in and not a half ass fix with tape. stinks can not park in garage or even close to house. What do we doif at a store and it catches on fire and engulfs nearby cars??

I agree with you completely.

Ford should have immediately repurchased the involved vehicles and provided the owner with a new Expedition or Navigator.

Since Ford knows the vehicles are fire hazards when running or parked with the engine turned off (unless the battery is fully disconnected), the vehicle is an extreme danger and owner should not have to take special precautions to park their vehicle, whether at home, in public, at work, etc.

The defect and potential fire hazard is serious and not any fault of the vehicle’s owner.

My 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4, purchased new, is now under a safety recall since August 26, 2022, where the HVAC front blower motor can catch fire while the vehicle is running. Ford has announced parts will not be available until next year (with no firm date when they will available).

Ford is treating its customers poorly, and has a bucket full of excuses for their poor quality and reliability.

As much as it piss's me off, last I read was there was a total of under 50 that caught fire. That, although it's a unacceptable number imo isn't as bothersome as the wipers failing without warning

I'm wondering if some of the wild fires out west may have been caused by expeditions, never know. sure they gave a $500.00 gift card. But that is not alot if it goes up in smoke, or your house possible cars in parking lot, not counting stress.

I believe if a wild fire was started anywhere this 2021 Expedition owner would know of it because the fire would render the vehicle unable to drive since it would have at least melted the battery connections around the BJB. You are right though, $500., was not nearly enough for the worry alone not discounting the aggravation of spouse won't drive it with or without the kids. The issue of having to park away from my garage, any vegetation, and other structures for months on end in the hot summer months. Probably going back to GM after this fiasco with Ford not ordering a no drive order and just a recall notice.

You would park it in your garage with your loved ones in the play room right above the garage?
