I don't think that was the concern. John is concerned whether his X-plan discount applies to the current negotiated price (based on MY22), or whether it only applies to the invoice price of his actual MY23 vehicle.

JohnSC has a 'guaranteed' price based on the 22MY pricing - but it sounds like this doesn't include the X-Plan discount. If X-plan pricing is based on factory invoice of the actual vehicle purchased, the X-plan discount may not apply to the price JohnSC has already negotiated with the dealer.

So it comes down to whether the 22MY price John has locked in without X-plan pricing will be a better deal than MY23 pricing with X-plan pricing.

X-Plan is 2% over true dealer cost (there are processes in place to keep the dealer honest here) at time the contract is signed by both the buyer and the dealer. If a price increase occurs, the original price is protected.

As stated before, Ford will kick back 6% to the dealer, for taking the X-Plan order (not all dealers will) after delivery so that the dealer makes an honest 8% on the sale. There may be additional internal benefits to the dealership, depending on how many "plan" orders they write and successfully deliver in a calendar year.

So my 1-5-22 platinum max 2 wheel drive bench second row and heavy tow is now scheduled for 9-26 production. So does that mean that it will be a 23 not a 22.

Always double check your dealers numbers too. Mine came to me with the current X-Plan numbers when I picked up on Labor Day and I said I want them to honor the February price level when I ordered and They apologized and fixed it.

It will be a '22, but you can check with VIN and dealer order number on https://ordertrack.app/

Mine is a Limited 304A 4x4 and is also scheduled for build the week of 9/26, and it’s still showing up as a 2022. Based on the Ford build-scheduling document someone posted a couple weeks ago, it looks like ours will likely be the last group of 2022s.

You rele shouldn't be upset. These shipping delays aren't new, and many people who ordered last yr when the order banks opened still don't have their trucks.

Mine is scheduled for next week, too. I really have my doubts, though. If it gets pushed again, i'm cancelling my order and will wait for redesign.
