I am in the Same boat as you…. I ordered mine on 1/25 and got this same email on 8/18. So incredibly annoying and frustrating to see people who ordered way after us have build dates or even have a delivery date.
Look on the bright side...at this rate you'll get a 2024 Expedition at 2023 prices.

I am super frustrated and annoyed. I have driven GM all my life and finally decided I just wasn't happy about their products. My 2019 Cadillac CTS lease was ending February of 2022. In January on the 27th I stopped into a Ford Dealership because I Loved the look of the new Expedition. Was able to work out really good pricing on one based on the fact that I was going to order it. I was told that my order and price would be locked in no matter what happens later this year.

Here I am almost 9 months later will still no scheduled build date or anything. GM is calling my lease back I have ran out of my 6 month extension time. I completely thought I would have a car by now well before the end of my lease extension. Now I have to turn in my car and I dont know what to do at this point. And any Expeditions dealers have available right now are leasing for way more than I was promised.

Such a bummer too because I was really excited to leave GM and try something new but this whole thing has left a really bad taste in my mouth. Now im suck in a rough spot. I was told by the dealer rep that my order could get converted to a 2023 model. He said that would not be good because then they will no longer honor the deal I worked out back in Jan if it does get converted.

Have you not been able to find a clone of your truck on any dealer lots? I know you may lose your deal but atleast you'd have your truck.

Ford has accepted numerous new-vehicle orders for which they cannot fill in a timely manner.

I think its a crap shoot as far as what gets built and shipped. I ordered a 303A on 12/17 and an 2nd 303A on 12/22 (trying to get dealers to honor XPLAN). Both of these were built in April, a week apart. Order #1 is still pending shipping (no holds that I was made aware of). Order #2 was on chip hold until June and finally shipped last Thursday. I changed my mind on a few options and ordered a 3rd 303A on 4/13 (added HD Tow, Sync4A, and Advance Cargo Manager). This vehicle was built in late June and I took delivery on 7/15. All 3 orders were Silver, Max, Bench 2nd Row, CCD, EDLS, and Auto Start/Stop Removed. I'm glad/lucky I decided to change my mind and reorder.

Order #1 (09/21/2022 status) --------- Order #2 (9/21/2022 status) ----------- Order #3 (07/15/2022 status)

I'd be really mad if I paid full price and then received a nearly year old vehicle that should now be discounted because of its age alone. I paid $16K under MSRP for my 2018 simply because I bought it as a hold over like these will be....

Can you buy out your lease? Odds are you can sell it for more than the lease buyout.

I think your statuses of your newer orders being ahead of your older ones shows how ford is prioritizing parts/chips as they come in to be used on vehicles on the line or scheduled to be on the line a day or 2 after parts arrive instead of using newly arrived parts for catching up on chip/part hold cars parked at the speedway.

Totally agree. The part that doesn't make sense is getting the vehicles shipped. My first order never had a material issue, was built on 4/20, and is still pending shipping. The 2nd order had the material issue resolved on 6/20 and just shipped on 9/16. My 3rd order was built 6/17 and shipped 6/18. Order 1 and 3 were from the same dealer. You'd think that Ford would get these on the same train to CA.
