Something like this?I'm with you on the "stealth" rims of the 303A or 304A. I don't get why they aren't edge to edge black. also I don't like the chrome along windows or inside around drive control on console. and lastly if someone picks a stealth package the paint should at least not be metallic since it adds shiny which takes away from stealth look. Paint should really be flat matte but at least if the metallic flake was taken out would be more "stealth". its like they need to have a blacked out package and a true stealth both with same features but one is shiny black accent and other is dulled out black
exactly. that matte film works awesome. just wish Ford offered a paint that gave same lookSomething like this?
crazy. Did you ask them if you can just go get it? lol
without a date for "in production" it isn't. Basically, you want to see dates for each step as well as check marks like your order confirmed step has.
I too abandoned my order but simply for not willing to keep waiting. as soon as mine went into a chip hold after being "in production" I started looking online for any dealer in Virginia since I get a sales tax exemption here. I found a dark matter gray limited max 4x4 in stealth with every option (and more) I had for my stone blue limited 4x4 order. I had to drive 2.5 hours each way to go get it and I did pay a good deal more going from a limited to a limited max with more features, but it's in my driveway and not sitting in Kentucky and when I broke it down to my monthly payment it was going to be vs what it is, only about $110 more.My order arrived at the dealer Tuesday, 9/13. Went to pick her up on 9/14 and left without her. I ordered the car on 2/25 to lock in the February incentives of 1500 cash back or 0% financing when ordering a new Expedition. Salesman even confirmed I would lock in by ordering in February. Ford confirmed the order on 3/3. I had mentioned this to the dealer back in May when the MCS delete & park assist delete was done by Ford but the sales manager said nothing. She was stone blue which looked nothing like the Ford online photo. I was test driving her and mentioned my February incentives. As soon as I parked he pulled out the sheet from my car envelope. Salesman went inside and met with managers. I was summoned over to a small conference table and all I got was basically a polite, verbal shoulder shrug. No offer to try and do anything to make me whole. Made me feel like they could have cared less if they sold me the Expy so I left absolutely devastated. I have since found out 3/3 is the day my order was entered too. The dealership sat on my order for a full week.
My story does have a happy ending and I am sharing this as a tip to those still in perpetual wait. After several days of searching for available 2022 Platinums and researching their window stickers to see what deletes and options they had, by Sunday I resolved myself to ordering a 2023 and hoping she would come whole. Monday morning, I was about to call a different dealer and order a 2023 when I found the rare white whale (blue in my case). Infinite Blue Metallic, Platinum, heavy duty tow (I had ordered on mine), absolutely NO deletes. She was a demo had 686 miles and was $3500 cheaper than the one I ordered. Proud to say she is now mine. If you are stuck waiting on yours and can get you deposit back it wouldn't hurt to look at demos for sale as they are starting to pop up. You might find a "white whale" too.
