Totally agree. The part that doesn't make sense is getting the vehicles shipped. My first order never had a material issue, was built on 4/20, and is still pending shipping. The 2nd order had the material issue resolved on 6/20 and just shipped on 9/16. My 3rd order was built 6/17 and shipped 6/18. Order 1 and 3 were from the same dealer. You'd think that Ford would get these on the same train to CA.

shipping is even more random. people that ordered MY2022 in CY2021 are still waiting and could realistically be waiting into CY2023! and that's for something that is physcally built and finished and just sitting there and getting charged almost $1800 destination fee, for what? my order I gave up on is very new to the awaiting shipping que (9/7) and I will be curious to see how long it goes to ship and actually arrive at dealer I ordered thru. meanwhile we have had our limited-max stealth for about a month now and no regrets giving up on that regular limited stealth we ordered, the added cargo of a max is awesome!

Ya, its pretty wild. Just glad we lucked out with our 3rd order. My wife also loves the extra room of the Max. I wanted to get the Timberline, but its her daily driver and she was set on having the Max. While I don't drive it often my only gripe at this point is that the screen switches to Carplay when texts come in. In some instances as it does this it will switch from XM to whatever song she was listening to on her phone last. Not sure if this is a Ford, Apple Carplay, or Iphone bug.

yep. This one is totally not my XP Max, but the wife's which is fine by me as I have my '14 Rubicon for trail time.

I'll second the 'stay the course' comment. I ordered my Limited on 12/8/21, was bulit in April and shipment kept getting delayed. Right around June, I strongly considered bailing out and ordering a 2023 in the Fall, but a competitive dealer convinced me to stay the course. He said delays were getting worse rather than better. Better to finish this out than restart the process. Glad i waited because two months later i got the call from the dealer and picked it up 8/23/22. Nine effing months, but...I LOVE it. Got the 15" screen i really like that too. Have owned Expys since 1998 and they keep getting better...if you can get one!
