I'm also curious if power can be found at this location? If not, does anyone know the easiest means to bring power from somewhere else to that location?

I also am wondering the same. I have seen some on here run a USB cable to the port below.

To make it even cleaner, I would like to tap power from a location and route it up there.

USB would be tough, unless you can get a cable out the back of the cubby where the inductive charger is. The fascia on the controls/screen comes off easily (unlike the speaker cover and tray cover on my truck) and routing a cable would not be difficult.

For power, I’d run something from the fuse box and route it behind the glove box and then up.

I have been wondering if dash tray would pop up like Kfordex8 pictured above, for my 2015? mine has main center and 2 smaller indents? CALIDAD Posts power options on headliner I have used mini usb and other 12volt plugs found on ebay. wired into vanity mirror power or other one, many unused wires from sunroof and others. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Car-Hard-W...417492?hash=item2171dfddd4:g:9k4AAOSwu51e-U8j

New! Got brave enough to pull up dash tray with 3 sections on top of dash. The center tray pops up rear of it. It has 3 grabbers beneath it and front of tray notches toward top of front dash. I can't send photos message me with email and will send pics. Tray has part number FL-14-78044A92-AB3ZHE, which I can't find an image for or a replacement piece. Tray is just shy of 8 inches inside, to fit the builtright dash mount from measurements found of that part. POWER wire questions nothing near center tray to tap for 12volts, but plenty of room downward on glovebox side to run whatever wires you want. I am going with this item for usb power thru the center tray. https://www.ebay.com/itm/143644417492?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Just circling back to update this. After the bracket installation, I didn’t install anything else until months later.

I went with Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions for the arms, ball mounts, and phone holder.

@Lou Hamilton offered me a good deal on his setup so I bought it. Then promptly ordered a bunch of other stuff. I really liked @KFordEx8 setup above but couldn't figure out how to get 3 AMPS mounts across on mine the way the holes are drilled. Lou said he didn't feel the brace was necessary but it was cheap and I only wanted to tear stuff apart one time. I also wanted to be able to use my Garmin Zumo XT as backup. I use it for motorcycle travel and am very familiar with it so it's nice to have it along on car trips as well. I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out. I set my wife up to be able to hold her phone, so far she hasn't been impressed but I think it'll be handy for our upcoming road trip.

All the crap I bought. The 67 designs ball is nice but I didn't really like how it mounted and I could get 3 of the bulletpoint balls for the same price. The bulletpoint bolts aren't long enough so I bought some longer ones and painted them the same shiny black as seen lower left.

Two small disappointments. Ordering the same size black carbon fiber arms that Lou ordered resulted in slightly different sizes and patterns. Oh well, still looks and works well.

And the finished result.
