I have a 2007 expy xlt, I think I've replaced everything that could affect gas mileage and I'm still only getting 11 city 16 highway. Does anybody have any ideas why or is this normal? Or is there something on here that isn't on every other vehicle that needs to be replaced?

The Federal EPA ratings for the 2007 Expedition 2WD were 12 City and 18 Highway.

You’re close.

Do you have 4WD? If so, even in 2WD it adds weight and decreases fuel mileage.

The type of gasoline you use can also have an effect. In my area of the Midwest, most pump fuel (including Top Tier Fuel) has 10 - 15% of ethanol, which lowers your fuel economy since ethanol has less energy than pure gas.

I do have 4x4, and our fuel also sucks. At least I'm close to what it's supposed to be. Does your 4x4 clunk when going to 4L?

I’ve only used 4L a few times, but it does clunk. My vehicle owner’s manual states that the drivetrain may clunk when shifting in or out of 4L.

Yep normal. Your lucky to be getting that much. Big v8, big truck equals not so good had mileage.

I only drive with A/T tires on mine and am in the process of getting 33's. Can't wait to see my mpg after those are on.

Well, you're already close to the EPA and you're running AT tires, so I don't think you'll see much better. I'm averaging low 15s in my '11 4WD EL with highway tires and a light foot. That's mostly local driving. When I hit the highway more often I'm usually averaging low 16s. ~206K on the clock.
