For those wondering what the skid plate situation is on the new Timberline. Here are some pics from the underside of mine.

Front = Thick metal. Directly from the Raptor is my understanding.
Transfer case = Metal but not as thick as the front.
Transmission = Can we call it a skid plate? It is the same material as the wheel well liners
Gas Tank = Heavy duty composite material. Seems very durable.

There is a proper transmission shield coming out late 2022. It seems to be either $315 or $420. I have seen both prices listed. I will probably be getting it just to have the full shielding under the there.

Yeah, looks like the transmission shield is made of felt. Better than nothing I guess?

Looks good under there!

interesting, based on what I see just remembering all of my work with the RCI plates on the older models, those won't bolt up to previous models. The engine plate looks pretty rigid, but the remaining ones are pretty thin. Another thing I noticed right away, the exhaust looks vastly different than the older ones.

I'm working with my local parts guy at the Ford Dealership. They will be calling Ford and getting me on the list for the metal trans shield.

The guy at the place where I am looking at getting a lift said the same thing. He could not remember for sure, but he thought the non HO models had a single pipe all the way back. This seems to have a dual exhaust most of the way back.

I'm interested in adding the transmission plate to my Stealth to protect the catalytic converter from theft. I read that a lot of people have used the Raptor's plate. I wonder how the Timberline's will compare.

They are different part numbers. I asked my local parts guy to look. We could not see anything too drastic between them but the bolton points may be slightly different between them.

I am not 100%, but I thought I saw someone look and say the front Timberline skid plate is the same part number as the Raptor, which makes me think there is a slight difference between the transmission plates.

Just got my new Expy Limited Stealth Performance today. Do you know if I can get your shield and install on mine?

Maybe the oil and transmission, but the front skid plate would go up behind your current front bumper. The Timberline has a different front end with a more aggressive approach angle.
