I'm placing an order tonight for a 23 Expedition Stealth Performance and I'm hung up on whether or not to opt for the 15.5" screen vs the smaller one. I typically prefer dials but I do like the look of the larger screen (and it comes with the digital gauge cluster). Would love to hear folks opinions on either screen and whether you think it's worth the $1000 for the 15.5".

Thansk!

I thought the Stealth Performance comes standard with the larger touchscreen since it is the highest package on the Limitwd.

Some love it but several folks have also posted on here with issues, and when it's dead, so are any of the interior controls etc. One has to hope that software updates help over time.

The 12" is standard. 15.5" is still a standalone option. Also includes a more advanced Sync version (4a). I have been very happy with mine overall. I have never seen a 12" to compare it to through, so my feedback and opinions are all comparing against Sync 3 in the 8" screen.

I have 15”. I think it’s great. Buggy for sure but much more updated look.

At one point people complained about automatic climate controls because “how hard is it to adjust a dial” or power seats “one more electric thing to break”.
They were right too.

i chose to skip it while optioning my Limited and not out of cost reasons. I prefer the buttons. Should the monitor fail, I can live without for some time while still having access to my amenities like HVAC and seat heating and cooling and radio and audio source tuning. The 12 inch is more than ample in my opinion...but as we know, opinions differ

Went down that road and was hell bent on staying with buttons. Ended up getting the 15" and do not miss buttons one bit. In fact now I think buttons are just clutter. People seems to indicate they want buttons since they are changing the temp and the fan speed every minute. I can change these in the 15" with one click. No menus. Also the notion to have buttons in the event of a screen failure is silly. You have to assume things will work otherwise you can say that about everything else like the engine computer, the drive by wire or even the key fob. But to each his own.
