Possibly the high output EcoBoost in the SPP needs the auto start stop to make some minimum emission standard?
OR, possible, it's more random nonsense like the green interior you mentioned.

My 2022 Timberline also has the HO engine. I had the Auto Start/Stop removed from the factory.
I did not custom order mine, but I don’t think it was removed due to the part shortage.
That would be a good break-in run. Unfortunately I am a good 8 hours away and not up for a 3 day trip for that (2 travel days plus the setup/test/install).
But I will order one when available!
Love the autostop eliminator. Now if someone would come out with a plug in device that would remember to leave drive mode in eco.. Expo down for the count for a while... Friggin deer are so heavy in N W PA hit my 2nd on I 79 in 6 months. The first one I was able to come to almost a full stop.. Last night I was prob full 60.. 65 mph when contact made..
We'll see how I like it on the Expedition. I have it on my '17 F150 and it's pretty annoying most of the time. I just haven't invested on the eliminator for it.
Dang, second deer in 6 months. You're getting better numbers than some hunters I know, LOL. Hope no one was hurt, except the deer of course.
It would be great if someone makes it down to trial the eliminator. I've reached out to them a couple of times and confirmed they are still looking for a donor vehicle. I'm anxious to order one but similar to @JohnSC , I'd be a 3 day trip to do it and having a tough time finding that much free time.

I just had them eliminate the ASS, through my tune.
