Im not making it complex. CD's just sound better to me

JFC, why are you having such a hard time with such a simple concept?

The loss in quality over WiFi, Bluetooth, smartphone, etc. is due to the lossy file formats used on those mediums (*.mp3, *.m4a, etc.). YES, CDs absolutely sound better than songs contained within any of those lossy file formats. However, if you rip (copy) your CD to a USB stick, SD card, etc. in a lossless file format such as *.wav or *.flac there will be no quality loss and the music will sound exactly the same as it would from a CD. There is absolutely nothing special about the CD itself that separates it from other storage mediums such as USB, SD, etc. If you're still lost, then there's no hope for you.

Finally saved enuff money for a new 2019 Expedition, afta tradin in My 2003 Expedetion ... I even waited months after I purchased it. because of the whole covid chip shortage CRAP. jJst to pull off the lot in euphoria and notice no CD PLAYER!?!? Why have they taken what is Old Skool and traditional and replaced it with CARPLAY?? I mean... I get it.. but... why not both??
My 2018 Expy Plat had a single disc cd player directly under the bottom of the radio/nav/controls. It blended in so very well so much I did not notice it for months. First thing I noticed when I got my 2021 Expy Plat that it had been deleted by Ford, come on a lousy single disc cd player Ford?

Would you still pay to have a 8 track in your new vehicle?
Keeping up with the latest and greatest is how they sell vehicles.
Deleting old tech that most people will not use is just cost cutting good sense.

Your have a point about the latest and greatest is what sells, but it gets old and tiresome asking alexa to play my certain 60/70's rock favorites.

We bought a 19' in April and I have been morning the no cd player also. How am I suppose to listen to my huge binder of cd's from the 90's and early 2000?! Ha! My first car, I rushed out and had the tape deck removed and got one of these new in-dash cd players installed. Remember the faces use to come off so thieves at the mall wouldn't know you had a cd player in your car? 20 years later, they are obsolete all together.

If you put all the CD's on a SD card/usb drive, you can make whatever playlist you want. Then all you have to do is put that playlist (60/70 rock) on.
It literally is easier for you. (with no sound difference)

There are 3 laptops and 1 desktop in my home and not one of them now has a cd drive. Ten years ago almost all pc's had them. I found a external cd for 9.99 on Amazon. I have plenty of thumb drives of all capacities already, so I will give it a try!
