I too have a 19 Limited Stealth HD tow with the 3.73. In Los Angeles, I get 12.5-14 regularly within the city and I baby it. Open highway, 18-20 mpg with maybe gains to 21 mpg in Eco Mode. I imagine people netting better mpg have the non tow package with the taller center section gearing otherwise I don't know how people are getting 22 plus mpg on the highway? Could it be 93 octane which we can't get here in CA?
I have the Exact same Expy as u. Your post makes me feel alot better as you seem to be getting the same MPG as me. I also baby it from the stop never getting above 2k rpms as I accel from stop. I was just thinking that my engine has suttin wrong with it with me getting about 13 mpg city when the sticker says 17 on average city.

Does 93 octane really provide better MPG than 87? If so i need to ALWAYS runs 93. I just thought 93 burned cleaner, provided more power ..

I have the tow package. When we were moving to AZ, we ran a combo of 87 and 91/93. Cruise set, running 60-65, my wife following along behind me in the Penske truck. She was getting 24-26. On trips, I can get 22-24 running cruise and 75.

Some one once said the turbo gauge is the opposite of your gas mileage. As that gauge goes up in boost, your mile goes down. I've run in Eco mode. I didn't really notice much difference. In sport, with AWD engaged, the mileage absolutely goes down.

Part of it depends on your gearing. It is my understating that I f you have HD Tow with the 3.73 rear end, you will get worse mpgs than if you have the 3.31 gears.

I don’t focus too much on city versus highway, but here is what I am estimating for my driving. 13 in city and while towing, 20 on the highway. I keep a spreadsheet with my gas mileage and I average about 16.2 across all driving types. Another thing is that I don’t race from light to light, nor do I exceed more than 5 over the speed limit. I also rarely go over 65 while towing.

Updating from my previous post, I have HD tow package and drive mostly on the East Coast where it’s pretty flat with a couple of trips a year to the Midwest.

On my 2018 Limited with 87,000 miles I get 17-18.5 around town and 23.5-24.5 highway. I do a lot of highway driving.
Sound similar to our 18 Max
Average is around 18 with my wife's commuting. Running 80 on a long trip we were in the low 20s, drop to 65-70 & that jumped up into the mid-upper 20s (according to the in-dash monitor, which is a bit optimistic).

So what does the "eco" stand for anyways in Ecoboost? cause im not impressed in the "gas saving" marketing if its getting pretty much same as my 07 navigator...

Your gas milage will vary based on how you drive.

If you're concerned because you're actively trying to drive more efficiently and you notice excessive gas usage, try a few things. First being change gas stations. Second, check tire pressure and air filter. Monitor things like RPM at speed. I have 3.73 gearing on SWB, my RPM hover around 1700 at 70MPH, headwinds, hills, etc. all factor. at slow speeds, the 10 speed does a great job at quick shifts, especially in Eco. I barely ever break 2200 RPM city driving.
if you're hitting 3k+ off the line, your fuel economy will suffer.

If something is very off, the CEL should notify you, because excessive fuel usage becomes an emission concern the vehicle usually catches, however not always. Another thing would be taking it to a dealer, explain the issue, re-set the system and have them run a live data pull while the car is in motion.
