I have a clunk too, interesting ideas that it might be the brackets. I will see if I can get a different set made without the slot.
I replaced front bushing and brackets with new ones from Hellwig, still with the slots. I also used Moog endlinks and went with 46 lb/ft on the frame nuts and 59 lb/ft on the endlinks and have no more clunking. I used new nuts everywhere, I suspect if you are trying to recycle the nuts they will work loose.

Hellwig sent me new bushings and brackets at no charge when mine started clunking.
So far the new ones are silent, but I won’t be surprised if it happens again since the replacement bushings are identical.

I'm about to order everything for front/rear Hellwig Sway Bars, and I just wanted to confirm that I'm ordering the right part numbers and quantities.

Can those of you that have done this upgrade confirm the parts/quantities listed below are correct?

FRONT

1x Hellwig 7696 front sway bar
1x Moog K750052 end link kit
1x Energy Suspension 9.5175G bushing kit

REAR
1x Hellwig 7688 rear sway bar
1x Moog K750054 end link kit
use bushing/bracket supplied by Hellwig - is it correct that there is no Energy Suspension bushing kit compatible with the rear Hellwig sway bar, hence the need to use the Hellwig bushing/bracket? If there is an Energy Suspension bushing kit that is compatible with the rear Hellwig bar I would prefer that (or any better alternative to the Hellwig bushing, if they exist)

Any help from the experts would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

To save anyone interested in doing this the time of reading through 54 pages of posts, here is what I ordered that worked without any clunking issues so far:

FRONT
Energy Suspension 9.5175R bushing kit
Energy Suspension 9.8121R end link set (only need 1, comes in pairs) - Dremel 1/2" of the brass spacers off before installing per previous post suggestions in this thread
Hellwig 7696 sway bar

REAR
Energy Suspension 3.5205R bushing kit
Moog K750052 end links (x2, sold individually)
Hellwig 7688 sway bar

Made a big difference post-installation, car feels much better and less wobbly when driving.

Do the sway bars also help the up and down bouncing/floating or is it mostly just the side to side sway? If that makes any sense.

They go hand in hand. That nasty crap is gone after the bars!

I did Bilsteins before the sway bars and that fixed the floating and bouncing. I tow a lot so I got the sway bars for stability. Very happy with both decisions.

Spent some time reading through the thread. Glad to see everyone has had the same positive experience with their rear bar. I had mine put on at my mechanic shop, and it was done on a lift. I've had no noises or issues at all. I plan on doing the front bar as well. Will it really effect anything negatively if it is not installed on the ground? My schedule doesn't allow for much free time to be wrenching on my expedition. Any input is appreciated! 2013 Limited EL RWD.

I just bought a 18 Navigator L 4x4 Black Label and it DOES NOT bobble-head and do all the ridiculous movement the Expedition does stock. Its all in the ****** rebound dampening in the shocks. The rebound dampening is way to soft, so the vehicle goes into a dip and then springs back up TOO far which causes it to then dip down the other way and get into a violent side to side rocking motion if you get on just the right road surfaces.

If you throw it in sport the side to side action gets a lot better, but then the transmission shifts like a 16 year old boy would like it to! lol.

Anyone do a comparison on part numbers?

My front sway bar started squeaking recently. I re-greased it and used teflon tape. Hopefully that will keep it from coming back.
