What safe is that?
Lock'er Down EXxtreme Console Safe LD2045

This is the third vehicle I've had their safes in and it'd be hard to convince me to go with any other brand. They're a bit expensive, but I love having the keypad. They also make a lighter duty safe that looks solid too.

Nice! Does the center armrest have a pistol holster or option for one too?
I suppose you could strap one to the bottom side of the lid, but something like that would probably be better kept inside the safe. In that case, you can mount whatever you want inside there.

Dometic makes a fridge that fits in the center console of these expeditions (and F150s), not sure if it fits on the 2022s but probably should.

I'm pretty sure the console fridge would fit. We opted for the console safe because we like having a secure place to put my wife's purse, passports, or other vital travel items when on a road trip. We have a Dometic CFX3 25 that we use between the captains chairs in the second row. It offers more flexibility since it's not permanently attached to the vehicle and has more useable space. I don't have it in the vehicle now since it's winter and -10°F. I could throw it in and take a pic if you're interested in seeing what it looks like.

Finally gave it a good cleaning since the weather was nice and I was feeling good. I learned something though.

You can either have a nice vehicle,
or you can go to Moab.

These two are mutually exclusive because that desert gets in EVERYWHERE! I'd given the outside a wash but today was interior and doorjambs. I dirtied up a pail of water really reddish brown before I started with the cleaning products. I'm sure there's still red dirt in a bunch of cervices but that's as good as it's going to get for now.

Changed the stock spark plugs to the NGK ruthenium recommended here.

Found them on Rock Auto for about $60 shipped. RA said they were pregapped to .032” so I regapped them to .030”.

I broke the locking nubbin off the middle and rear coil packs on the passenger side while removing the plug. Ugh. For now I just used zip ties on the wires to put a little tension on them so they won’t vibrate off, but I did order two new coil packs and will replace when they come in.

On the middle cylinder on the left bank, the coil pack came off the boot when I was trying to remove it, leaving the boot in the tube. Eventually for that out with some long needle nose pliers.

Overall this job was more of a pain than I was anticipating, but it was cold out, and a lot was all the weird contortions I had to do to be able to reach
