Your assumption is wrong. The shorter time intervals started before COVID. The shorter intervals are based on several studies about CO2 buildup and it’s affect on tiredness and lack of focus while driving. Even small percentage increases of CO2 can have a negative effect.

Well definitely not doubting the C02 reasoning, i'm just going by the 5 fords I currently own ranging from 2017 to 2022 and the 2022 is the ONLY one that I've witnessed with a shorter interval. But anyway, you know what they say about when you ASSUME. :cool:

Two 2017's long interval
2018 long interval
2019 long interval (no longer have this one)
2021 not positive because it's my GT500 and I haven't really used the HVAC in it yet.
2022 short interval

Well I owned a 2020 Explorer, and wife currently drives the 2020 Expedition. Both have way shorter intervals than our 2017 Expedition and 2016 Edge. Both the Explorer and the Expedition were manufactured before COVID was a thing.
