Hey all, I am coming from a 2017 F-350, and the rain sensing wipers worked perfectly. Now being in a 2022 Timberline I thought the rain sensing wipers would work just as well. Turns out they don‘t. Sometimes they don‘t come on, sometimes they do. They seem to have no rhyme or reason to when/if they come on and do the job.

Has anyone else had any issue with the rain sensing wipers on the 2022 model? If so, has anyone been able to have the issue fixed so that they properly work?

Thanks!

rain sensing wipers......

Just another useless feature that can break and cost your millions to fix

Sorry, thats the best I could do with my response. I havent had any issue otherwise. I too never really know if they are working correctly lol

I bought a new 2015 Ford Expedition Limited 4x4 with the rain sensing wipers. The feature never worked properly from the day I took delivery.

I turned the feature off in the settings menu and have not worried about the feature since.

Well that sux. I haven't used mine yet, only had my Expy for a couple of days. But the rain sensing wipers on the 2017 F150 the Expy replaced worked great. Really hoping these work as expected. Is it just me, or does it seem like Ford is going backwards with a Lot of these features?

Our Raptor has it and it never seems to work. I just turned that feature off and manually set it.

i have them on my 19 raptor and they are life savers especially offroad in puddles. you can change the sensitivity on them. with rain sensing on you turn the knob more forward for more sensitivity. play with the settings until you like what its doing. i have mine on the least sensitive setting. i wouldnt have a vehicle without them if i had the choice

The wipers on our ‘22 are very sporadic as well. Sometimes work fine, other times have to turn them on manually because I can’t see. Other times when I start it they will wipe once when it’s totally dry outside. Not impressed.

For regular rain mine on my 19 worked fine. Where they drove me nuts was on very light rain. They'd not turn on, then pop on going super fast, then slow down, then fast and the speed was all over the place that they just annoyed me and I turned it off. I've never complained about working the wipers manually, in the end just another feature that doesn't really need to be there for me.
