Heavy duty roof rack

Hey all,

I've been looking for a solid roof rack for my 2003 EB and haven't been able to find anything that I really like. Most I find online seem to be generic fit. Just came across this rack on a 4runner and it inspired me to post. Have yall come across anything like this for an Expedition? See photos attached.

Couple of notable features:

Bolted on at 4 rear points, two front legs appear to be resting
Wind deflector in front is flush with body
Cage floor mesh is dense, could probably stand on it.
Rails around the mesh is low profile
Rack is well built and one piece

As for the ladder, I'd probably opt for some steps bolted onto the C pillar.

Interested to see your considerations and photos if you've found a solid roof rack solution.

You’re NEVER going to find a rack that says “fits Expedition years 1997- 2017” or whatever.

Racks aren’t rocket surgery. You take off your existing rack, bolt on the new rack using the old rack mounting points, take pictures and load it up with stuff.

Could any of you guys with the Eezi Awn tell me what what kit you bought to install on your Expedition? I'm looking to put a roof top tent on my 2017 but having trouble finding a good rack. These look great I just can't find details on how I would attach it. Is it as simple as removing the factory rails and installing the Eezi Awn rails?

Basically. Need to transfer the hole pattern from the rails you removed to the virgin, undrilled Eezi Awn rails. But yes, simple as that.

Just bought a tube bender to start making custom roof racks/bumpers for my expy. I can let you know how mine turns out when I finish it if you want!

Those of you who have bough the Eez-Awn roof racks, where did you get them?
Any deal recommendations?

Also, what size/dimensions did you go with?

Im trying to fit my '03 EB with the largest rack possible.
